Retirement Statement

The decision to retire is deeply personal and often very emotional. The decision to retire after over 50 years of serving the community is even harder. At Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, Carol “Carrie” Pritchard has been a mainstay in the Burlington community serving families with compassion and dignity. John and I are honored that Carol has the confidence in us to allow us to continue her legacy.

Today, January 27, the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home will become a division of the Ready Family. We couldn’t be happier for Carol as she finally gets some much-deserved time off from a business that serves the community 24/7. Rest assured that she’s not going far and that she and Shimmy Cohen (Vermont’s only Jewish licensed funeral director) will still have a presence as they guide us in what has made them successful for so long. Please join John and me and all of us at Ready’s in wishing Carol all the best as she moves on to her next adventure.
